2003–2007 Classic GMT800 Trucks & SUVs
If your 2003–2007 Classic GM truck or SUV has a B1001 Option Configuration Mismatch code after replacing or programming an airbag module, BCM, or PCM/ECM, the vehicle may need an SDM / airbag module relearn before the system will operate correctly.
On these GMT800 vehicles, the airbag module, and BCM must agree with each other. When the configuration data does not match, the vehicle can set a B1001 code and the airbag system may remain disabled.
Common Symptoms
- B1001 Option Configuration Mismatch
- Airbag light on
- SDM / SRS module will not complete setup
- Manual relearn procedure fails
- No access to GM Techline / Techline Terminal
- Replacement airbag module will not match the vehicle configuration
Bench Matching Service
If you cannot get the manual relearn procedure to complete, or you do not have access to a Techline Terminal, we can perform the matching process on the bench.
We require the following modules:
- ECM / PCM
- BCM
- Airbag module / SDM
Once completed, the modules are returned ready to install. When shipped back, the setup is plug-and-play.
Pricing
$250 + return shipping
